Love & David Bowie

First off... David Bowie. Need we say more? In the days when Mary and I would rent ALL the movies, anything with David Bowie was a sure bet. Anybody seen the Linguini Incident?!

I cannot hear this David Bowie lyric without thinking of the movie Moulin Rouge, which of course makes me happy. Mary & I saw Moulin Rouge in the movie theater twice, we loved it so much. We then bought the CD… which was on HEAVY rotation in my Jeep that summer. Most nights after we would go out on the town, we would stay at my boyfriend’s (now husband's!) apartment downtown. On the drive home in the mornings we would BLAST the entire album. We would change up who sang the different parts and we’d sing at the top of our lungs into the wind. Many years later we were on a road trip with Mary’s husband, and did a repeat performance… needless to say, he was VERY impressed.
